New DOORS Version Tests

We are shortly planning to upgrade from version 7.1 to 8.2, pior to release for Projects we wish to test the new version. Previously we have tested by use upon a chosen project. My question is has anyone feedback/experience of a more formal test programme?
Short list:
module content
presence of links
compare contents of old to new version
Function of Company dxl scripts
etc.

We did this exact same upgrade last year and the reason we went to 8.2 is that it is the highest version supported on Windows Server 2000. To migrate to a newer version of DOORS, you have to upgrade your server to Windows Server 2003.

I have a test plan for this upgrade and a list of issues we encountered, but I'm super busy right now. Send me an email at mcnairk(symbol)navcanada(symbol)ca if you don't hear from me by the end of the week.

Ken.

Hi,

we upgrade last year from 8.3 to 9.1.

(9.2 or 9.3 not, because i see that licence behaviour is not the same)

We have no problem.
Except encrypted scripts. Encryption is modified.

Perhaps some DXL scripts must be modified, at least tested.
I am not sure that regular expression are the same.
